We all know that mental health and wellbeing is a topic that continues to impact many of us. We are also seeing a growing commitment from key stakeholders in the real estate industry to gain a better understanding and provide better support to their teams, ensuring we can all continue to operate at our best.

Mental health struggles in the Australian real estate industry have been well documented. You may have already heard of The Revive Project, who continues to shine a light on just how widespread and persistent the issues are.

More than 900 respondents participated in the latest Revive Research survey and some of the key takeaways include:

85% of employees believe mental wellness and safety are important considerations when looking for a job
47% of agents have experienced physical symptoms of stress and anxiety
42% feel overwhelmed
42% of agents are not at all satisfied with their current health and fitness
38% say work impacts personal relationships quite often or very often
37% of agents don’t have defined goals that they are working towards
34% are unhappy at work to some degree
30% have experienced burnout as a result of work
26% use alcohol to cope with work stress
24% have seen a doctor for work-related stress in some capacity
