It’s hard to escape from what is happening globally and locally at the moment. New and ongoing war conflicts, the Voice Referendum in Australia, the economy and cost of living, misinformation in the media etc. All of this has left many of us wondering what’s next? I don’t think we can ever under-estimate the toll that uncertainty takes on our people and as leaders, now is the time to bring people together. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are caught in conflicts across the world and their families.
These situations made me reflect on one of the key pillars REIP is striving towards – a collaborative and connected industry that can share ideas and take control of how we run our businesses. I have no doubt that we’ll all have improved wellbeing and commercial outcomes if we empower each other and work together collaboratively to address various uncertainties within our industry.
But it’s not just about ‘talking the talk’, we need to ‘walk the walk’. Over the last few weeks we have told you about our collaboration with REIA, the addition of Leanne Pilkington and Michael Sheargold to our board and this week we announced Rate My Agent as our latest partner.
The goal of this partnership is to bring together two industry leaders who can work together for the benefit of the industry. The vast majority of the agents in our industry do a great job and their clients are very happy. By partnering with RateMyAgent, REIP can help share RateMyAgent reviews to industry, agents and clients via our CMA product REIP Nexus.
RateMyAgent CEO Michael Davy believes that the real estate industry “needs to get better at measuring end-to-end customer experience. Consumers have higher and higher service expectations…and a few simple google searches can be the difference on people finding you, let alone consider using your services”.
Changes in our market create a highly competitive landscape and our competitive edge as brands is decreasing. What this means is there is more focus on relationships, service that is faster, better and price competitive and leaders need to be building environments where people want to work.
